Expat Student endeavours to provide information on the site that is as accurate as possible. However, it cannot be held responsible for omissions, inaccuracies and shortcomings in updating, whether caused by itself or by third-party partners who provide this information.
All the information provided on the site is for guidance only, and is subject to change. Furthermore, the information appearing on the site is not exhaustive. It is given subject to modifications that may have been made since it was put online.
Contractual limitations on technical data.
The site uses JavaScript technology. The website cannot be held liable for material damage related to the use of the site. Furthermore, the user of the site agrees to access the site using recent equipment, free from viruses and with an updated, latest-generation browser. The site is hosted by a service provider within the territory of the European Union in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR: no. 2016-679).
The aim is to provide a service that ensures the highest possible accessibility rate. The host guarantees the continuity of its service 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Nevertheless, it reserves the right to interrupt the hosting service for the shortest possible periods, notably for the purposes of maintenance, infrastructure improvement, infrastructure failure, or if the Services generate traffic deemed abnormal.
Expat Student and the host cannot be held liable in the event of a malfunction of the Internet network, telephone lines or computer and telephone equipment, linked in particular to network congestion preventing access to the server.
Intellectual property and counterfeiting.
Expat Student owns the intellectual property rights and holds the usage rights to all elements accessible on the website, including texts, images, graphics, logos, videos, icons and sounds. Any reproduction, representation, modification, publication or adaptation of all or part of the elements of the site, regardless of the means or process used, is prohibited, except with the prior written authorisation of the Publisher.
Any unauthorised use of the site or of any of the elements it contains will be considered to constitute an infringement and will be prosecuted in accordance with the provisions of Articles L.335-2 and following of the Intellectual Property Code.
Limitations of liability.
Expat Student acts as the publisher of the site. The publisher is responsible for the quality and truthfulness of the content it publishes.
Expat Student cannot be held responsible for direct and indirect damage caused to the user's equipment when accessing the website, resulting either from the use of equipment that does not meet the specifications indicated in point 4, or from the occurrence of a bug or incompatibility.
Expat Student shall also not be held liable for any indirect damages (such as, for example, a loss of market or loss of an opportunity) resulting from the use of the site. Interactive spaces (such as the possibility to ask questions in the contact area) are available to users.

Personal data management.
The Client is informed of the regulations concerning marketing communication, the law of 21 June 2014 for confidence in the Digital Economy, the Data Protection Act of 6 August 2004, as well as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR: no. 2016-679).
Data controllers

As the data controller for the data it collects, Expat Student undertakes to comply with the applicable legal provisions. In particular, it is the Customer's responsibility to establish the purposes of its data processing, to provide its prospects and customers, based on the collection of their consent, with comprehensive information regarding the processing of their personal data, and to maintain a record of processing activities that reflects reality. Whenever processes Personal Data, takes all reasonable steps to ensure that the Personal Data is accurate and relevant with regard to the purposes for which it processes them.
Purpose of the collected data
Expat Student may process all or part of the data:

Right of access, rectification and opposition

- right to data portability for the data provided by Users, where such data is subject to automated processing based on their consent or on a contract (Article 20 GDPR)
- right to define the fate of their Users' data after their death and to choose to whom their data must be communicated (or not) to a third party whom they have previously designated
As soon as it becomes aware of the death of a User and in the absence of instructions from them, Expat Student undertakes to destroy their data, unless its retention proves necessary for evidentiary purposes or to comply with a legal obligation.
If the User wishes to know how their Personal Data is used, request rectification or object to its processing, the User may contact in writing at the contact address and/or the one provided on the Legal Notice page.
In this case, the User must specify the Personal Data they would like to be corrected, updated or deleted, by identifying themselves precisely with a copy of an identity document (identity card or passport).
Requests for the deletion of Personal Data shall be subject to the obligations imposed upon by law, in particular with regard to the retention or archiving of documents. Finally, Users of may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authorities, and in particular the CNIL (https://www.cnil.fr/fr/plaintes).
Non-disclosure of personal data
Expat Student undertakes not to process, host or transfer information collected about its Clients to a country located outside the European Union or recognised as «not adequate» by the European Commission without prior notice to the client. However, the publisher remains free to choose its technical and commercial subcontractors provided that they present sufficient guarantees with regard to the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR: No 2016-679).
Expat Student undertakes to take all necessary precautions to preserve the security of the information and, in particular, to ensure that it is not communicated to unauthorised persons. However, if an incident impacting the integrity or confidentiality of the Customer's Information is brought to the attention of , the latter must inform the Customer as soon as possible and communicate the corrective measures taken. Furthermore, Expat Student does not collect any «sensitive data».
The User's personal data may be processed by subsidiaries of and sub-contractors (service providers), exclusively in order to achieve the purposes of this policy.
Within the limits of their respective remotes and for the purposes outlined above, the main persons likely to have access to the Users' data are principally the agents of our customer service department.
Types of data collected
