Deadlines for 2025 university applications

If you’re thinking about going to university in 2025/2026, now is the time to be looking at the application process and accompanying deadlines. These university application deadlines are the latest acceptable dates by which you must apply to qualify for acceptance into the higher education of your choice.

This may seem like a daunting task as university is a big step to take, but we advise you to apply as early as possible. Entry requirements, as well as application deadlines, differ depending on the course and university you wish to apply for. The criteria, paperwork and deadlines will also differ, depending on the country you want to study in.

If you are still not sure about the course or university you want to apply for, or just need help to get on track, contact us and we can help guide you through the whole process.

Here are some of the main deadlines that are important for a 2025/2026 intake.

UCAS Undergraduate applications

The dates vary between courses and course providers, but applications for most undergraduate courses should arrive at UCAS by the last Wednesday in January. So for applications for 2025, this is Wednesday 29 January 2025. If you are thinking about applying to a university place in the UK, through UCAS, it’s time to get started.

Although the official deadline is in January, we advise our students to submit their applications at the beginning of December, as this shows universities that you are organised, motivated and enthusiastic.

We can guide you through the UCAS process, so get in touch now to get started on your application.

Studielink university applications

Studielink is the Dutch equivalent of UCAS, and applications for the 2025-2026 year should be submitted as soon as possible. Applications open on 1st October of each year. The deadline for registering for “numerus fixus” courses is 20 January 2025. For other courses, the deadlines vary. So again, if you are thinking of studying in The Netherlands, you need to be working on your application in advance of these dates.
